Erin & Chris’ Engagement Session | Quincy, MA

I feel fortunate to have met Erin while working with Future Chefs, a great non-profit culinary program that helps fund and transition low socioeconomic kids from high school to culinary school programs or post-high school careers.  Erin & I have had a lot of fun working together, but getting the chance to just hang out & relax a bit off the clock was a nice change of pace.  We started at the Marina in Quincy, and then headed to the beach.  They even brought their puppy, Winnie, along for the ride!  We had a lot of fun – and *just* missed the thunderstorm that rolled in minutes after we finished.  Thanks for introducing us to “the Q”, Erin & Chris!  We’ll definitely have to head back there sometime soon to enjoy the summer view of the Boston skyline.  Can’t wait for their wedding in September! :)

Hilary & Tim’s Shower Gift – a 16 x 24 Standout!

Do you remember my good friends Hilary and Tim?  Well we did an engagement session for them back in September – we had a blast!  Hilary just had her bridal shower and when I was going through her gift registries online I stopped and thought – wait a minute – wall art!  They need wall art for their new apartment!  So as a gift I had one of their favorite photos from their shoot made into a 16 x 24 inch standout to display in their home.  Hilary and Tim loved their gift – Tim is very into photography (whenever I buy a new lens he reminds me that he will happily take any of my old ones off my hands) so I was excited to share this with him as well!  I’m so glad they liked it.  The Studio Noir will be shooting Hil & Tim’s wedding in August – but I also get to be a bridesmaid in the wedding and have some fun with my girls while Laura handles most of the photography for the evening!  We really can’t wait for your wedding guys!

Angela & Phil’s Wedding Day Sign-in Album Is Here!

We are excited to say that Angela & Phil‘s Wedding Day Sign-in Album that we put together from their engagement photos has arrived and is ready to be displayed and signed by guests at their wedding July 24th of this summer!  We can’t wait to give it to them!  We really enjoy hand designing all of these albums and seeing the variations in cover choices that our lovely clients decide on.  Angela & Phil went with the “White Snake” cover, and it looks beautiful, doesn’t it?

Samantha’s Shootsac Has Arrived!

I finally got a Shootsac!  It arrived in the mail in the cutest packaging and we just couldn’t help but share the excitement with you!  Jessica Claire designed the Shootsac to be the bag for photographers who need to have all their gear on easily accessible at their hip and to be able to change lenses in a flash.  This is really going to be a huge help for me while shooting fast paced weddings this season.   It even came with a super cute baroque interchangeable cover.  I can’t wait to try it out at tomorrow’s wedding on the Cape!

Kate & Kelly – Beachside Engagement Session! | Good Harbor Beach | Rockport & Gloucester, MA

Kate & Kelly love each other.  And they love surfing.  In fact, they love it so much they head up to Good Harbor Beach about every weekend when the surf is up!  So when they mentioned this to us, our eyes got wide, and we said of COURSE we’ll meet you to get some fun beach & surfing shots!!!  (Talk about scenic!!  Twist our arms, right?!?)  We love incorporating activities each couple enjoys together into each engagement session – it makes it that much more meaningful & fun.  We had a blast!  We started out in Rockport around the cute shops & paths, then headed to Gloucester for some fun shots at Good Harbor Beach.  Thanks, Kate & Kelly!  You guys were refreshing. :)
